Part of my nutritional plan is to make my own food and not buy take out. I've been doing this for almost two years and while it's truly a pain in the ass to come home after work and cook dinner and then breakfast and lunch for the next day, it's a totally worthwhile venture. I know what I'm consuming and how it's going to effect me.
From my office I could see dark clouds looming in sky, waiting to open up and storm down on the rest of the day but it didn't. When 5 o'clock hit, I took off and raced home so I could get this run in like I promised myself. There's nothing worse than breaking a promise you made to yourself.
I ran up the stairs, down the hall and into my humble abode where puppy was waiting patiently. I took one look at his big eyes and just couldn't stand the thought of making him wait to eat. I thought, "He can eat while I get dressed and then I'll hit the road." And that's just what I did.
Seriously, I really was concerned about the storm rolling in while I was on the other side of the park. Whenever there's a storm, there are always downed trees. That park always get struck by lightening. Did I say always? Yes.
I have a lap timer on an old cell phone that I use simply because I'm used to it. I warmed up and clicked start.
Module 3, as I stand corrected from a previous post, is a big jump in numbers. It's 90 seconds running, 90 seconds walking, 3 minutes running and 3 minutes walking - repeat process twice. I cannot lie. I struggled through the three minutes - both of the running segments, but I finished it down to the very second. I didn't go as far as usual because my legs felt stiff and I was feeling a bit residual from the stress of the day, but I did not quit and that to me is priceless.
