Why is it a challenge?
Part of the rules of training for this run and doing it without re-injuring my leg or anything else, run 3 days a week and never back to back; therefore you must have a rest day somewhere in between. This is problematic when you have bad storms anywhere from 3 to 5 days out of a week.
So I ran on Tuesday, had bad weather for most of the rest of the week and got in run number 2 of the week on Saturday.
To be successful at this and combat the wasted days stuck inside, a perspective change on what consists of a week is in order. I am going to need to continue the training runs with the increases as I can get them in. So, weather willing, tomorrow will be run number 3. Hope that made sense.
What happened out on the road? With the long break in between runs, I felt a heaviness in my legs when I first started out, but my pacing was once again much faster than expected. I don't know if this will continue. I hope it does. It's very exciting when you find yourself doing something difficult and you are doing it well, even if it only lasts a little while.
After all, greatness happens in small moments.
