Two Weeks and No Posts....I know, I know

The past two weeks have been absolutely crazy, so let me catch you up on where I'm at:

Last week I got in one day of running, which you read about. We had storms or just crazy family stuff (my mother was bit by her cat and hospitalized for it - yes, it was that bad), but I didn't throw in the towel. The only night where I had time and good weather was on Wednesday which happened to be my chiro and nutritionist appt. I thought, damn, this sucks. So on the way to the bus stop, I decided to keep walking and turn it into a training opportunity and walked three miles from the doctors to a bus line that goes to my place. Those were uphill miles. It's actually the highest point on the eastern seaboard below Maine. That is an odd fact and to drive over this, yes it's really steep, but you wouldn't think that.

Above is a photo from Forgotten NY's site. If you want to read more information about Todt Hill go to:

Friday night we went to see She Wants Revenge and The Psychedelic Furs at The Fillmore in Union Square, therefore I did not run. I did sweat though and that does count. Saturday and Sunday we did the hospital dance and had band rehearsal.

This week, I'm back to business. I went out tonight and obviously I'm still on module 2. Tonight was a real struggle. Everything just felt tight and achy, but I pressed on. There was this young woman running around the park, she had to have done four or five laps for my one. I'm not jealous, just damn impressed. Some people are natural born runners. I am not one of those. I just like the struggle. I like when my body feels like it made an effort. It makes me feel alive.

Two more training days to get in this week. Root me on because I need it. Tomorrow night will be yoga and some weights.

PS: If you go to a standing room only concert, make sure to take the day after off from whatever you were going to do. My feet were like stiff little bricks when we left.

I am me. There so much more to say than that but really doesn't that say it all.
